ABOUT OUR
Governors
The Local Governing Committee (LGC) provides strategic direction for the Academy, operating within national legislation, governance principles, and the policies of St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust. The LGC meets once per term. Details of its work are outlined in the SBMAT Scheme of Delegation which can be found below within our Key Documents section.
Roles and Responsibilities
Each Governor is assigned a link role and, with support from the LGC, oversees a specific area of the Academy. Governors complete additional training, conduct prearranged visits, keep the LGC informed about their area, and provide support and challenge to relevant staff. The LGC includes a Chair and Vice Chair.
