Vicki Gwynne - Chair of Governors

Term of office - 28/04/22 - 27/04/26

Vicki is the Operations Manager at Middleport Matters Community Trust and has been in the role since October 2019. Middleport Matters works with families and individual people in the local area to provide social and creative opportunities, as well as environmental and community projects. Vicki is a qualified teacher and has taught at local colleges and universities, as well as being a Director of VG Training & Consultancy.  She lives in the south of the city with her partner and daughter, carries out a variety of voluntary roles across Stoke on Trent and is passionate about the city and the people living in it.

Rosemarie Patrick

Rosemarie has been Principal at Saint Nathaniel’s since January 2020. She has over twenty years’ experience in teaching and leadership across schools in Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Cheshire. Rosemarie also sits on the Local Governing Committee of Bursley Academy in Staffordshire as Chair of Governors and on the Local Governing Committee of Woodcroft Academy in Leek. Away from school she likes to spend time with her family.

Carly Wright

Term of office - 03/01/23 - 02/01/27

Carly is Principal at Woodcroft Academy in Leek. Previous to this role, she has held senior leader roles in schools across Cheshire East and Stoke. She is a Specialist Leader of Education for English and has facilitated Network meetings for BTSA and has supported schools in the development of English across the trust. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Damian Collier

Term of office - 08/09/23 - 07/09/27

Damian is Assistant Principal at Longford Academy in Cannock.  He has been a teacher since 2008 and has previously worked at Seabridge Primary and Knutton St Mary's C of E Academy.  Damian has experience of subject leadership in Computing and Maths and works one day a week for the NCETM, supporting other local schools in delivering their Maths provision.  He is also a Maths Specialist Leader of Education.  Away from education, Damian enjoys football (he is a Tottenham fan), reading and spending time in his caravan.

Lucy Meredith

Term of office - 03/01/23 - 02/01/27

Lucy has worked at Saint Nathaniel's Academy for 10 years and is one of the school's Vice Principals. She has experience in teaching all year groups from Reception to Year 6.  Lucy is passionate about providing pastoral, social, emotional and mental health support to our children and wider school community.  She is the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mental Health First Aider, Senior Mental Health Lead and holds the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking and going on walks.  

Lisa Henshall

Term of office - 08/09/23 - 07/09/27

Lisa is a mum of 2 and really values the importance of an inclusive, relationship based school experience for children and their families. She has worked in schools for over 20 years and was SENCO for 12 years, ensuring that the schools she worked across offered the very best educational experience for every child. She loves learning and this means she is always researching inclusion and ways to improve outcomes for children. To relax, Lisa enjoys reading, walking on the beach with her dog and going to the cinema with her children.

Sadaf Malik

Term of office - 09/03/22 - 08/03/26

Sadaf was born in Pakistan and lived in Poland for 18 years with her family before moving to the UK. She has a background in IT, creating graphics for websites and organising accounts. Sadaf has been working in the school as a lunch time supervisor for the past five years. She has also done voluntary work in the school, working in the Early Years Foundation Stage. Sadaf is keen to learn more about the school in her governor role, and is looking forward to finding ways in which she can help support and improve the EYFS as well as the school as a whole.

Rev. Ashley Cooper

Term of office - 05/12/23- 04/12/27

Ashley has been the Principal at Cliff College since 2017, following his role as Senior Minister at Swan Bank Methodist Church in Stoke and the Superintendent of the Burslem Mission Circuit. Having trained for ordained ministry in the Methodist Church at Hartley Victoria College Manchester, Ashley has previously served in the Delamere Forest Circuit, as the District Evangelism Enabler in the Chester and Stoke District, and as the Coordinator of District Evangelism Enablers in the Methodist Church.
